Heard of the Ultimate Fishing Expo? Interested in a free fishing event?
The Victorian Fisheries Authority is running the Ultimate Fishing Expo which is a two-day event celebrating all things fishing. This free event is on this weekend – 18th & 19th February – at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre
The Expo has a strong speaker line-up, and with talks by international angling celebrity and flyfisher Robson Green, well-known and respected flyfisher April Vokey, Aussie fishing royalty Lubin Pfieffer, and Australian Trout Foundation president Terry George, flyfishing is well catered for.
Other speakers are talking on a range of topics that will also inform and educate, and provide expert tips and advice for catching freshwater and saltwater species in Victoria. Fisheries science and management, relevant to current hot topics in fishing, are covered too.
The Expo will include a tackle and boat expo, with the latest in fishing technology and gear to peruse.
The event is a family affair and there will be door prizes, great activities like fly casting tuition, and give-aways for the kids.
