The King River holds many fond memories for me. The King is a classic trout stream that is a delight to fish and it always offers a chance at a good sized fish. Long glides, beautiful runs and plenty of room for casting makes this stream ideal for beginners and experienced flyfishers alike. King River trout are no pushovers though so every capture (promptly released) is very special.
And then there is the wine and food. For a foodie like me this region is paradise, made even more heavenly by the wonderful Pizzini family who seem to have added flyfishing to their other great passions, wine, food and family! The Pizzinis are hosting a weekend in mid March that combines these elements, so if you like the sound of that, go to http://www.pizzini.com.au/pizzini/events-fishing-and-flavours.php to learn more.
Good fishing, buon appetito and salute to you all!
